Window hardware maintenance tips

(1) Oxidation and electrolysis

Some hardware will appear spots when it is used for a long time. In fact, this is not rust, but oxidation. The humidity, temperature and pollution degree of the air in daily life will cause different degrees of oxidation and electrolysis to the hardware, which requires cleaning the door and window hardware to avoid long-term dust cover. In the wet spring season, wipe it with a cloth to keep it dry. It can reduce the damage of metal oxidation and electrolysis.

(2) Brightener

It is suggested that the brightener can be sprayed twice a year to form a layer of protection on the surface of the hardware to make the hardware accessories as bright as new.

(3) Lubricating oil

In addition to the door and window handle, the internal hinge, upper and lower pulleys, card slots and other moving parts slide in the daily use for a long time, so it is easy for dust to fall on the accessories and adhere to the interior to affect the use performance. It is recommended to maintain them every six months. The maintenance method is also very simple. Two drops of lubricating oil can keep the parts smooth.

(4) Pencil lead powder

When the door and window lock core is used for a long time, it is easy to turn insensitively. You can take a small amount of black powder from the pencil core and put it into the lock hole. The graphite composition of pencil lead is an excellent solid lubricant, which has an excellent lubricating effect on the lock core and does not affect the service performance of the lock core.

(5) Regular inspection

The doors and windows shall be inspected regularly to see whether the hardware fittings are loose. If any problem is found, the after-sales treatment shall be carried out in time to avoid potential safety hazard.
